This is the third piece of furniture I’ve made with Douglas Fir and here’s the how-to build video and design plans for the project. I made a small end table or side table because I had one really nice bored left over from the sofa table build. The Douglas Fir board measured only 70“ x 7 1/4“ so I had some design constraints and decided to make a simple box and used dovetails as the decorative element. My favorite part of the project was shaping the legs and I’ll probably use something similar to this leg design in a future project.
