For this project I use the Excelsior Mini Lathe from Rockler to duplicate my Purple Heart carving mallet. I really like the weight and feel of this mallet and it works great. I used the mallet to cut the dovetails on the walnut end tables I made a few weeks ago. Here’s the video and the design plans with measurements if you want to make your own.
