Of course I am a big Jimi Hendrix fan and originally I made this painting for the music studio. When I finished the painting I hung it in the living room to photograph it. My wife decided that that’s where the painting should stay and that’s where it’s been since I made it in 2019.
The painting is made on two thin sheets of steel that are glued to a braced panel. After the image is painted.
The steel is rusted with a mixture of salt water and vinegar. After a few days the painting is rinsed with fresh water, allowed to dry and then sealed with lacquer.
