How To Make a Float Frame without a Table Saw

This is a great beginner woodworking project showing you how to make a float frame for artwork without using a table saw.   I used .5  inch x 1.5″ standard material to make this frame and you can find it any any home store.  I used Poplar, which is a good wood to use for painted projects.   For tools,  you’ll need an inexpensive chop saw and an 18 gauge nail gun with a compressor, hose and nails that can be bought as a kit.  Both the chop saw and nail gun are great basic tools to have in the shop and they come in handy in a lot of projects.
