In this woodworking project I show you how to make a step stool using dovetail joints, which is a great project to build, if you want to practice your dovetail joinery. I made this step stool to be used in our kitchen, and I’m sure it’s going to get a lot of heavy use over the years. I used an old solid cherry cabinet top that had been hanging around the shop to build this dovetail step stoop. I think the stool looks great made with cherry, but would also look great made of white oak, walnut or even pine, all great woods to use with this project build.
