I’m happy to say that this project inspired many people to pick up the craft of woodworking. Originally, I built this chest for my daughter, Olivia, and she still uses it today. It’s fun to look back at this project and see how much the shop has evolved—the tools have been upgraded, the lighting is better, and the space is much more organized.

What hasn’t changed is the woodworking itself. At the end of the day, it’s still all about solid, straightforward furniture built to function beautifully in your home and your life.
