I noticed some rot at the bottom of the upstairs barn door that needed fixing so I waited
until there were at least two dry days in a row in the forecast before
starting the project.  Here’s a how to video and description of the project

First I dug the rotten wood out of the door using chisels then used a heat gun to dry the wood.

Next I used an alcohol-based Bin primer and auto body Bondo for the wood fill. I used Azek to make molding with a 10° angle to help keep the water away from the inside of the door.

The bead board at the bottom of the door had a slight bow in it so I had to scribe that piece of molding. I filled the screw holes with an exterior wood fill and caulked the seams and let it dry overnight. The next day I primed the repair with Fresh Start by Benjamin Moore. I let that dry for a few hours and then
painted the door the same color as the barn, which is Heritage Red by Benjamin Moore.
