Monteath has been in business since 1856 (over 160 year) and they carry a full line of stock and custom wood moulding in Poplar, Oak, Maple, Mahogany or Sapele, and Cherry as well as 50 species of hardwood and exotic lumber that they sell to customers at factory direct prices.
This is where I get most of my lumber for furniture projects and it’s nice to work with experts like Buzzy. When going to the lumber yard, be sure you always bring a pair of gloves, a tape measure, your material list and something to write on, and a pencil.

Some nice Sapele boards that I use often for both indoor and outdoor furniture projects. Sapele is a beautiful wood and a Mahogany substitute that’s readily available. It’s a hardwood that takes a finish well and is weather resistant and perfect for outdoor projects
