Hi all, here’s the how -to painting video and two images to download and print and a list of all the materials you’ll need to follow along and paint with me. The most important thing when painting is to just relax and have fun. Painting is like anything… the more you do it, the better you get.

Material list
- Matte photo paper
- Acrylic matte medium. Use this to glue and seal the paper
- Ampersand cradled gessobord panel
Paint
You can use acrylic or oil paints. The big difference between acrylic and oil is that acrylic paint dries faster and is thinned with water. Oil paint dries much slower and is thinned with paint thinner or turpentine. You only need a few colors to get started and here’s a list of the colors that I use most often:
- Titanium white
- Mars black
- Burnt umber
- Cerulean blue
- Cobalt blue
- Cadmium red
- Cadmium yellow
- Permanent green light
