How to Cut a Nylon Belt or Strap – Quick Tip

Use a hand torch to heat the sharp edge of a metal pry bar or heavy duty scraper to make a clean cut in a nylon belt or strap.   Using the heated metal edge seals and cuts the nylon in one shot.   You can use the same technique to cut and seal rope.
