Some kind of an art / woodworking school is in my ten year plan David Reeves on 08/13/2013 at 9:40 PM Love the design. Panning to build a 12×12 shed similar to yours. Three questions: 1. What pitch or run did you use for your roof? 2. How did you construct the overhang rafters? For the braces on the ends, where the braces just on the interior of the shed or both sides like in the video? 3. Do you have any more videos of your shed than the roof and foundation leveling? Thanks, David Hillary @ The Friendly Home on 09/17/2013 at 2:30 AM Hi, Jon! So glad I found you. I’m using your truss instructions to build a roof for a “cabin” in my backyard. I’m experienced in building furniture, but this is my first time doing this kind of construction. So…here’s my question for you. Do I need some kind of ridge board between the peaks of the trusses or can I put the trusses up there, screw them into the top plates of the walls, and then use OSB sheathing to keep it all together at the top? Neil Smyth on 02/07/2014 at 3:36 PM Hi Jon, is there any more videos on the completion of the workshop, it looks great so far. Thanks Neil jonpeters on 02/08/2014 at 8:16 PM Thanks Neil , I didn’t make any videos but I will give a tour in the spring.
